Summer Camp - Rapunzel

The Summer Musical Theatre Camp at The Carson Center is a five-day Musical Theatre opportunity for students ages 6 - 13.

This year The Carson Center and Missoula Children’s Theatre will present Rapunzel, an original musical production!

Campers will open up the week with a relaxed open audition in our Myre River Room. This will take place with the Missoula Children’s Theatre touring actor and director and all levels of talent are welcome! All students who participate in this audition WILL receive a role in the production. When not rehearsing, campers will have the opportunity to be involved in several different theatre-based workshops taught by Carson Center Staff and local artists. This includes movement, stage makeup, music, and acting/scene work. Campers will perform in two shows for family and friends on the last day of camp.  For those students not interested in the performance side, there are Assistant Director Positions.  Assistant Directors will assist with the rehearsal process, costumes and props, and technical elements on the day of production. 

Tentative Schedule:

• Monday, July 6  - 9:30AM - 3:30PM
• Tuesday, July 7 - 9:45AM - 3:30PM
• Wednesday, July 8 - 9:45AM - 3:30PM
• Thursday, July 9 - 9:45AM - 3:30PM
• Friday, July 10 - 12:00PM - 8:30PM

The registration fee of $200 includes:

• Thirty (30) hours of theatre arts programming
• Two (2) complimentary tickets to attend one of the final performances,
• Summer Camp T-Shirt

• Behind The Scenes (BTS) tour of The Carson Center

Hard copies of all permission forms, medical disclosures, and photo waivers will be mailed to households upon registration. Please complete and bring with you on the first day of camp.
