Play a leading role in supporting the quality and vitality of your Carson Center

The Carson Center for the Performing Arts serves the Four Rivers region as a leader in presenting superior live performances and cultural experiences that are entertaining, educational, and economically beneficial for our community. The Carson Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit performing arts center.

With less than half of annual operating expenses supported by ticket sales, your support is VITAL to the success of The Carson Center’s mission to provide year-round programming with accessible ticket pricing and enriching educational initiatives. The dream of connecting the people and diverse communities of the Four Rivers region through the transformative power of live performance can only be sustained through the support of patrons like you.

You have a variety of giving opportunities from which to choose and most contributions are tax-deductible. It is your generosity and the generosity of individuals, families, businesses, foundations, and organizations that make everything we do possible.

Methods of Giving

Supporters can achieve the status of Carson Center Donor, either through cumulative giving of $10,000 or more, or through a donation of $5,000 or more to one of our original giving campaigns. Donors receive ticketing priority, invitations to exclusive events, and potential recognition by name on our Encore Wall of Donors.

The simplest way to make a gift is to contribute cash via check, debit, or credit card. Checks may be made payable to The Carson Center. Cash donations are perfect any time of the year.  You can specify where you would like your gift to be utilized or allow us to apply it to our greatest need.

Memorial/Honorary Gifts

IRA Charitable Rollovers

Originally signed into law in 2007, Congress adopted this as a permanent gift option in 2016. The IRA charitable rollover provision provides an attractive gift option. This provision allows donors age 70 1/2 or older to direct their required minimum distribution (RMD) through the PATH Act to the qualified charity. While it is not a deductible gift, the distribution is excluded from a donor’s income.

Matching Gifts

Some corporations and foundations encourage directors, former employees, and their spouses to make charitable contributions by matching gifts dollar-for-dollar, and sometimes as much as $2-3 for every $1 donated.

Name A Seat

Make a lasting impression by naming a seat in The Carson Center Main Theatre. Put your name on a seat or make the perfect gift or tribute by naming seats for family or friends. A unique gift and special opportunity, we only release 10 seats per year for naming.
