The Carson Center is pleased to announce that Karen Marlowe has joined the organization as Director of Finance.

Karen brings more than two decades of financial leadership experience in nonprofit, government, and performing arts organizations. Throughout her career, she has held senior finance positions with the Kentucky Historical Society, the Houston Symphony Society, the Society for the Performing Arts in Houston, and several other nonprofit organizations, leading financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, audits, grant management, internal controls, and long-range financial planning.

In addition to her financial expertise, Karen has extensive experience improving organizational processes, strengthening internal controls, implementing financial systems, and increasing operational transparency. Her collaborative approach and commitment to sound fiscal stewardship will help support The Carson Center's continued growth and long-term sustainability.

Originally from western Kentucky, Karen is excited to return to the region and contribute to an organization that plays such an important role in the cultural life of the community.
