PADUCAH, KY — The Carson Center for the Performing Arts is proud to announce the promotion of Liz Perkins-Walker to the role of Deputy Director.

Walker has been a respected and familiar leader within The Carson Center organization, known for her steady leadership, deep institutional knowledge, and commitment to both the arts and the Paducah community. In her new role as Deputy Director, she will oversee and help guide day to day operations across programming, production, event execution, organizational coordination, and community development while continuing to serve as a key member of the executive leadership team.

“Liz has become one of the most trusted and important voices within this organization,” said Brian Wilson, Executive Director. “She understands this building, this team, and this community in a way that cannot be taught. Her leadership brings stability, thoughtfulness, and heart to the work we do every day. This promotion is not only well deserved, it reflects the important role she already plays in helping lead The Carson Center forward.”

Throughout her time at The Carson Center, Walker has helped lead major performances, community events, educational initiatives, and operational improvements while building strong relationships with artists, patrons, volunteers, donors, and community partners. Her promotion formalizes an expanded leadership role that aligns authority with the operational responsibilities she has increasingly carried across the organization.

“This organization has meant so much to me for many years. I am honored by the trust being placed in me and proud to continue supporting the mission of bringing arts, education, and community together in meaningful ways.” said Walker.

The appointment comes as The Carson Center continues strengthening internal operations, expanding programming initiatives, and building long term organizational sustainability for the future.
