The mission of The Carson Center for the Performing Arts is to enhance the quality of life in the Four Rivers region as a leader in presenting exceptional live performances and cultural experiences that are entertaining, educational, and economically beneficial for our community.
The arts strengthen communities in many ways – culturally, educationally, economically, socially, spiritually.
Quality programming that reflects community values is key to the Center’s success. Rather than duplicate or overlap with offerings of other arts organizations, the Center strives to complement and expand the range of offerings available to the people of the region.
The Carson Center serves the region and acts as a resource and a partner to individual artists, other arts organizations, educators, and anyone interested in the arts
By their nature, the arts embrace people of all income levels and cultural backgrounds; they eliminate traditional barriers and stimulate creative thinking that stimulates dialog and open communication, and accepts the notion that there are many ways to solve the same problem.
Successful arts organizations are fiscally responsible and morally ethical in all their actions. Board members, employees and volunteers accept and reflect these values.
