Get ready to “Party for a Purpose” at the Carson Center’s big annual fundraising event March 22. Sooner the better on getting your table or tickets because this fun event usually sells out. This party takes place throughout the Carson Center. Enjoy mixing and mingling with friends old and new as you enjoy a silent auction, live auction, food from 14 caterers, wine, coffee, tea, and soft drinks. All these beverages and food are included in the cost of admission.
The “Purpose of this Party” is to raise money for the Carson Center, which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit regional performing arts center. Approximately 30% of the center’s annual funding comes from fundraising events, contributions, sponsorships, and grants. When you buy tickets and tables – you support arts-education for children and youth, performances for audiences of all ages, Broadway musicals, big-name concerts, and other performing artists and theatre groups from across our nation and around the world. Fundraising events and contributions help us to involve more schools and families from a range of socioeconomic backgrounds.
The “Spotlight” Table for 10 is a new option that focuses attention on needs and opportunities in the Carson Center extended family. Examples may include schools serving low-income communities who bring children to Class Acts Education Series performance and learning activity when possible – but need some help to come to a show.
